A BIT ABOUT ME

My name is Ellie Green-Wright, and my passion in photography is capturing landscapes and seascapes, especially during sunrise or sunset.

I am very drawn to these moments because I love being outdoors, specifically by the sea, where I find peace and a heartfelt connection to nature.

The soothing rhythm of the waves and the warmth of the sun inspire me, offering a sense of calm that I drive to reflect through my photography.

For me, photography is not just about maintaining a scene, it is about sharing the beauty and calmness that I experience. I particularly love shooting in Cornwall, as I believe it offers a unique edge over Essex due to its dramatic and natural scenery.

Cornwall is known for its rugged cliffs, dramatic headlands, hidden coves, and sandy beaches, which provides an endless variety of breathtaking seascape photography opportunities.

Its natural beauty always inspires me, creating every shoot feel fresh and exciting. While I have a great passion for shooting seascapes and landscapes, I also love capturing special moments like maternity sessions, cakes smashes, weddings and events.

I think there is something incredibly rewarding about preserving precious moments for others, giving them heartfelt moments to keep for years to come!

MY PROJECT

My project is dedicated to raising awareness about the growing issue of plastic pollution and its devastating impact on marine animals, juxtaposed against the unique and breathtaking landscapes and seascapes of Cornwall and other beaches around the UK.

All beaches around the UK offer an abundance of natural beauty, yet this beauty is increasingly threatened by the harmful presence of plastic waste.

Through my photography, it is about highlighting the contrast between the serene, unspoiled environment and the dark reality of pollution.

By capturing this contrast, I hope to evoke a sense of urgency and inspire people to reflect on how human actions are affecting marine ecosystems.
